| An Expensive Purchase | | I work in a sales company and get a nice discount but I'm at a crossroads... How much would you consider too much to spend on a purse? My dream purse is a Juicy Couture bag that is $195 without my discount, my problem is that even though I want it so much, I'm cheap and almost never spend money on stuff like clothes, purses and shoes. I really want this bag and feel I deserve it because I have always only had one or 2 bags and have only ever spent a maximum of $20 on them. | | What is the best birthday you have had or gift you have recieved? | | For the past 17 years I have always had bad birthdays. I know its only 17 years I have many more to go, but it seems that something always happens on my birthdays. One year I spent the whole day in the hospital cause my grandma was dying. Another year my whole family forgot becaue my "drama queen" cousin was planning a wedding and going berserk on everybody. This year was my 18th, and thats a big one. It had to be the most amazing birthday ever. Had a nice party set up, a party tent outside with torches, etc. And I got alot of nice amazing things! A laptop for college (big relief, I was scared of not being able to afford one) and my puppy Bella from my boyfriend. My aunts both forgot though.. aside from that I have to say my 18th was my best so far, Ill never forget it! What about you? Do you have any good/bac birthday experiences. | Shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach--Have you ever seen a Model Shoot? | | I had the chance to go shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach last weekend. I really didn't know much about it, other than it is considered the "Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach." Found there are all the designer stores: Coach, Giorgio Armani, Juicy Couture, Tiffany & Company, etc.It's a very interesting place to people watch, that's for sure. While I was there, in front of the Tiffany's, a model shoot was taking place. For real, I'm not kidding. I could not get really close as a police car was sitting there "guarding" the area. I swear, one of the models was 6 foot 5! I will remember forever that dress she had on and I'm going to look for her in advertisements in some of the fashion magazines. It was black and she had a feather boa-type collar. She had long, very dark hair. The other model, I believe, was blonde and holding a parasol. She was dressed in red. A guy was holding one of those gold screens to bounce the light off/on the models. Someone else was snapping pictures. The models were voguing for the camera!!So tell me, have you ever seen a model shoot or anything like that? I was pretty fascinated with it. | |
